Say What?! - A Concern

Obama borrows Bush policy to court evangelical voters. Hmm.
I know that Obama needs to win the election, but this is nothing less than a slippery slope. Obama must not forget that at the core of Bush's failed administration are two intertwined and failed philosophies: privatizing everything (so cronies can make a killing, I might add) and blurring the separation of church and state. If King George had his way the United States of America would be his kingdom, in which the governmental theocracy ruled, spied on, and controlled everything yet ran nothing, leaving that to private, including religious entities, so that those entities--not the public--could benefit. A perfect place for the well-to-do and well-connected, and for those that are the "correct" religion, but it's not America.

Senator Obama, when the government funnels public money--tax-payer's money--to religious organizations, with the notion that somehow the government will simply keep an eye on how it is spent (e.g., not proselytizing) is not only naive, it's fundamentally un-American, dangerous and just plain wrong!
