The analogies of McCain fighting the last war are spot on. Not only in terms of his stance on Iraq, but also in his use of grand "old" party tactics to anger the electorate and spread fear through half-truths (at best), and--more commonly--wanton exaggerations and outright lies. It doesn't look like that's going to work this time around.
