Anti-War...Pro-American

As long as I'm going all out anti-war here, I might as well embed this YouTube video. But, as the creator warned, there are some explicit images that may disturb you--which of course they should.

I'd heard the original "Here's to the State of Mississippi/Richard Nixon" but somehow missed the Bush version.

This Sums It Up - The State of George W.

I simply can't believe that I hadn't heard/seen this until today. Man it is so good!

Former Commander Speaks the Truth

This isn't some disgruntled reservist who feels helplessly drawn into a quagmire beyond his control. This also isn't some left-wing nut-job...this is the past COMMANDER of Coalition Forces in Iraq, Lieutenant General Ricardo S. Sánchez, speaking. He is retired, so, as many others, is now free to speak the truth.

Which Pres. Candidates Match Your Views?

I was only a bit surprised by the close match with Bill Richardson. I personally don't think he'd be the best pick...I definitely think he blew any credit with me when he spoke of being gay as a choice. I generally like the guy, and apparently we agree on most issues, but he's just not presidential enough for me. Of course Kucinich is a dream choice (yes, I mean Dennis not his wife ;-), but it remain just that, a dream. He would be a true change in direction. Of the top two tiers, my choice is presently Edwards, so I was pleased that he turned up higher than even the two front-runners. Fun stuff...give it a try!
The original survey is from Minnesota Public Radio.
And a similar quiz taken from MPR is the one at WQAD TV.

Congratulations Al Gore - A "Nobel" Man

Now we just need you as our president.

Health Care(less) for Children?

Well, I see that the four leading numb skulls in the Repugnacan Presidential race landed squarely on the side against health care for children. Nice. The best part is that they have absolutely no reasonable argument to do so other than it is nearly entirely a Democratic proposal. Some have pointed to the cost, while in the same breath supporting Bush's bogus war...two months of which, by the way, covers the cost of insuring four million more children. Shame on them.
